If you will be submitting an advertisement or a letter of support
for the Convention Program, please submit that in at least 600dpi, no later than 02 April 2007 to qcws [at]

So what exactly does my sponsorship do?
That's a perfectly fair question!
Your donation to AVER is tax deductible. By sponsoring at
various benchmarks,
you can also place an advertisement or personal note in the Convention program, receive free tickets to events during the Convention,
receive one year of advertising in AVER's national newsletter - the Forward Observer, and even attend special VIP events during
the Convention.
As a Convention Sponsor, you can help us with immediate goals such as bringing in some of our most important luminaries, one of
whom - Dr. Frank Kameny, PhD - is considered one of the fathers of the American gay rights movement and has been fighting the
military "gay ban" since 1953.
We also use sponsorship money to help defray expenses such as printing, entertainment, and the memorial wreath laying, so that
we can keep the Convention attendance fees as low as possible. Many of our members are retired and/or disabled, so your gift is
greatly appreciated. Without it, the fees might be too expensive for some on fixed incomes
to attend at all.
What else does my sponsorship do?
The AVER National Convention is one of our most important fundraising events. Much of the money goes to help fund activities that
go on throughout the year at the local chapter level.
AVER Members have made presentations on: gays in the military, R.O.T.C, VA entitlements, and other topics of interest to LGBT
Americans, supporting friends and allies.
AVER Members have participated in such events as: National Coming Out Day, Memorial day Observances, Veterans Day parades, Memorial
Wreath Layings, VA bingo nights, and many others.
AVER Representatives have spoken before: college and university student groups, church groups, civic organizations, political
organizations, and more.
